Description
The New Balance 550 White Incense Driftwood refreshes a classic basketball silhouette with a refined, understated palette. First introduced in 1989, the 550 retains its retro charm while incorporating streamlined modern touches.
This version features a white suede base layered with perforated white suede, smooth white leather, light tan suede, and darker tan suede accents. The collar is made of breathable tan mesh, matching the sock liner and the lining of the white mesh tongue. A sail-colored foam midsole sits atop a darker tan rubber outsole designed with circles and grooves for multidirectional traction.
Notable details include multiple New Balance branding elements: a tan NB on the leather heel, a darker tan suede N in a cut-out panel, and 550 embroidery near the bottom of the lateral laces. Additional branding appears on the tongue tag and is embossed on the midsole. This colorway released on August 23, 2023, with a retail price of $120.
